The Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) is an independent, non-profit accreditation and financial assurance entity serving the employer service provider industry since 1995.
ESAC’s accreditation provides verification of a service provider’s ongoing compliance with important financial, operational and ethical industry standards, government regulations and financial assurance, as the FDIC does for banks.
Accreditation is governed by a board of directors that includes former state and federal regulators with over 100 years of combined regulatory experience. ESAC’s accredited firms represent more than $100 billion in annual employee wages. There has never been a default of an accredited firm.
ESAC accreditation is the industry gold standard and less than five percent of service providers invest the time, cost and ongoing operational excellence necessary to earn and maintain this elite credential. However, half the industry volume seek out ESAC accredited firms, because it assures them the highest level of independent verification of reliability and financial assurance.
